Eight to ten week corporate or group
training programs/courses,
o
Mindfulness is not unlike physical fitness – it requires
patience and practice over a period of time. Eight to ten week programs allow participants enough time to
practice in a highly supportive environment, to achieve significant benefits for
themselves. Most of the scientific research on Mindfulness, as well as our own
data, has been based on eight week programs.
These programs are structured
very much like many other courses. Participants
attend a weekly class, and are expected to do about 30 minutes of homework or
practice daily. The homework exercises are modified each week to gently, but
firmly help them cultivate the skills of Mindfulness more quickly.
o
Personal coaching/counseling.
o
There could be many reasons – including the desire for
confidentiality, or inability to attend regular classes due to lifestyle
scheduling problems - why some might prefer individual or personal coaching in
Mindfulness. Individual instruction
has advantages over group experiences. Instruction
is interactive and can be tailored to the specific learning needs of the
individual. Blockages to progress can be more readily identified and appropriate
adjustments made. Uncomfortable topics that may be uncomfortable in group
settings, can be discussed. Meetings can be booked at times and places to suit your
particular schedule. Some sessions
can also be done by phone where face to face meetings are not possible.
